Your prose style does not change: concise, clear, engaging, active, the same rules as everywhere else in this plugin. Six things change, and they are all about what you include and in what order.

Editing scientific proseskills/sciwrite-prose/SKILL.md

You are editing in the tradition of Kristin Sainani's *Writing in the Sciences*. The goal is not elegance for its own sake: it is that a reader gets the idea with the least effort, and that nothing in the prose obscures who did what.

sciwrite-publishskills/sciwrite-publish/SKILL.md

Navigate publication: choosing a journal, the submission process, responding to reviewers after a revise-and-resubmit, performing a peer review yourself, authorship decisions and order, plagiarism and self-plagiarism, and spotting predatory journals. Based on Stanford's Writing in the Sciences. Use this skill whenever someone mentions submitting a paper, a decision letter, reviewer comments, a rebuttal or response letter, "revise and resubmit", "my paper was rejected", being invited to review a manuscript, who should be an author or in what order, whether a passage counts as plagiarism, reusing their own text from a previous paper, an unsolicited invitation from a journal or conference, or whether a journal is legitimate. Also use it when someone asks how to choose where to submit. Do NOT use it for writing the manuscript itself (sciwrite-manuscript) or for grant applications or responding to grant or fellowship reviewers (sciwrite-proposals).

Structuring a scientific manuscriptskills/sciwrite-manuscript/SKILL.md

A paper is not written in the order it is read. This skill covers what belongs in each section, in what order to build them, and how to tell whether a draft section is doing its job.

The writing processskills/sciwrite-process/SKILL.md

Most of the pain people feel while writing comes from doing three different jobs at once. Separate them and the work gets faster and the result gets better.
