John Petrov’s Experiences & Credentials
John Petrov comes to VCU Health with more than 20 years of experience in human resources, having served in both healthcare and academic medical settings. Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief caretaker officer at The Guthrie Clinic, leading the human resources operations throughout northern Pennsylvania and southern New York.
Under Petrov’s leadership, The Guthrie Clinic was widely recognized as one of Becker’s Top 150 places to work in healthcare. To his credit, John Petrov holds a master’s in human resource management from Briar Cliff University and is actively involved with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is also certified in Senior Professional HR, Diversity Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace, and SHRM-Senior Certified Professional.
